It’s a New Year!! Now What? More Resolutions?

by Yesenia on January 4, 2012

It’s 2012 now and it’s time to get in shape. When was the last time you took your dog out for a really long walk? I know its been a long while for me. First I was too busy and then it got too cold. Well, no more excuses!! I’m going to take my dogs out for an adventure, some fresh air and exercise. I don’t want to wait until “bikini season” is around the corner.

I did not make New Years Resolutions this year. But I do have goals for myself and my dogs. I am going to put myself (and my dogs) at the top of my priority list. I’m going to eat better. My dogs eat healthier than I do. There’s definitely something wrong with that! I am also going to be more active. I’m not say “exercise” more because that can feel like hard work. Being “active” just sounds fun.  :0)

I am going to take advantage of beautiful sunny and dry days even when it’s cold outside. When I take my dogs to the dog park they come home so tired that I can actually get some work done without feeling guilty about leaving them home alone. I’m also going to take them out to just walk my neighborhood. All I need to do is make sure I’ve got my trusty Doggy Baby Bowl with me. This way we can all stay hydrated and stay outside and play longer. I hate cutting my fun short just because we need something to drink.

This bowl is so easy to carry around and use! I have one in my car, one in my purse, one in my beach bag and of course, one in my Doggy Baby tote bag. I don’t waste my water pouring it my hand and having it spill and leak all over. It’s so easy to carry around.

I hope you all have a very Happy New Year and I hope we all achieve our goals. But mostly, I hope you all spend more time with your dogs. Walking them and getting in shape or even just cuddling with them and lowering your blood pressure and stress. We dog owners are the luckiest people in the world!

Thanks for reading

Heimlich for your Dog

November 17, 2011

Not long ago, my dog Snoopy choked right before my eyes. She was chewing the end of a raw hide bone and bit off a piece. I saw her choke. She coughed a little and then stopped coughing. She had been laying on her belly but got up and gagged and then walked behind a [...]

When you travel do you travel light? Or do you over pack like I do? I need to have options when I’m getting ready to go to dinner or on an adventure. When I travel with my Doggy Babies I pack them a bag too. Actually, they have 3 bags that are always prepacked for [...]

Cooking with and for Dogs

August 6, 2011

I love being in the kitchen. I have wonderful memories of being a girl and playing kitchen with a cardboard box as my stove and several little pots and pans. And of course there were the utensils; the tiny spatulas and cooking spoons. I even had an “Easy-Bake oven”. OMG, those made some yummy cakes. My [...]

Launch Early and Launch Often!

August 4, 2011

Launch early and launch often! Well at least that’s what I’ve been told. It’s been a long while since I did a blog post but that is all coming to an end. As I have been growing and developing this Doggy Baby business I have learned a lot. I’ve learned more about sewing and product [...]

Lessons Learned from My Dog by Suzanne Zoglio

June 3, 2011

It’s graduation time and commencement speakers will soon share words of wisdom with new grads. Some lessons shared will be profound, and others quite simple. What would I share, if invited? Things I learned in graduate school, principles proven in my consulting career, or tidbits picked up from my own mistakes? No, I think I’d [...]

Working Hard for My Money

March 8, 2011

I’ve been working part-time at my husband’s office these last several weeks. Answering phones while one of his staff is on maternity leave is not permanent. While doing this task I’ve really missed working in my sewing-room on my Doggy Baby business. I was supposed to be able to use some of the “down time” [...]

Why do we dress our dogs?

March 4, 2011

I read that dogs don’t get cold and therefore do not need sweaters. They certainly don’t need pajamas. So why then do people choose to dress their dogs? Well, it’s not about “need”. It’s about “want”. People want to laugh at the outfits and cuddle with their pajama-laden doggy. I used to put a raincoat [...]
